Business Development Engineer
Permanent Position ASAP Start Location: Coventry
About the Role
If you are a Business Development Engineer with experience winning new business in a fast-paced and exciting automotive environment, and you possess a strong commercial mindset, a technical engineering understanding, and enjoy collaborating with leading automotive OEMs, this role could be for you.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across Specialty OE customers
- Engaging OEM customers early within vehicle development programmes to influence specifications and secure programme positions
- Leading RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and commercial proposals through to successful award
- Building, managing, and converting a strong opportunity pipeline into programme wins
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to support long-term business growth
- Working closely with internal engineering and commercial teams to align resources behind key opportunities

- Proven experience winning new business or securing programmes within the automotive or motorsport environment
- Technical engineering understanding, with the ability to communicate confidently with customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in managing RFQ processes and coordinating customer engagement activities
- Degree educated (Open to relevant experience also)
