About the Field Sales Events Executive (Business Development Event Executive) Role
You’re a go-getter, driven by results, and passionate about helping small businesses thrive in the world of FinTech. Excelling in fast-paced live events, you possess a natural ability to network, connect, and convert—turning strangers into Tide members.

This role blends field sales, event coordination, and partnership growth, all geared toward driving Tide’s mission forward.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Conversion
- Event Sourcing: Proactively identify, secure, and attend at least one high-potential external B2B event, expo, or networking session per week across the UK.
- On-the-Floor Pitching: Engage business owners at trade shows/exhibitions, promoting Tide’s platform, accounting tools, and seamless sign-up to close sales.
- Streamlined Onboarding: Guide prospects through the Tide sign-up process and collaborate with KYC/FinCrime teams to ensure high conversion rates.
- Pipeline Follow-Up: Aggressively follow up on event-generated leads using CRM tools to maximize final conversion rates and drive adoption of our premium plans.

Event Execution & Partnership Building
- HQ Event Hosting: Co-host and manage logistics for internal events, including:
- Monthly Accountant Society sessions
- Bi-monthly partner events
- Digital Outreach: Plan and host Tide Educational Online Events to expand reach beyond physical locations.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and nurture relationships with:
- Event organisers
- Local business hubs
- SME networks
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Affiliates, and Product teams to align with:
- Campaign launches
- New platform features
- MTD (Making Tax Digital) updates
Field Representation & Data Mastery
- National Expansion: Represent Tide across the UK, focusing on key regions such as Manchester and Birmingham, with regular travel requirements.
- Data Tracking: Maintain 100% accurate pipeline data in Pipedrive.
- Analytics & Reporting: Support Team Lead in updating Live Event Looker Dashboard to evaluate and improve event ROI.
- Content Creation: Capture data, photos, and stories from events to share Tide’s wins via PCM (Partner Community) and team channels.
- Flexible Execution: Adapt your schedule to accommodate evening event hours or weekend commitments when required by business owners or event timelines.
You’ll Be a Great Fit If…
- Have proven face-to-face B2B or field sales experience, particularly in event coordination, experiential marketing, or financial products.
- Are highly motivated by performance metrics, and thrive on unlimited earning potential through bonuses and commission.
- Excel in cold outreach: Comfortable introducing yourself to busy exposure and quickly turning hesitant attendees into warm leads.
- Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to:
- Pitch to business founders or C-level executives
- Negotiate with corporate partners
- Present to large groups
- Practice disciplined time management and self-motivation to juggle travel itineraries and live event deadlines.
- Are tech-savvy with proficiency in:
- CRM tools (Pipedrive)
- Looker analytics platform
- Google Workspace (Sheets & Slides)
- Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred) and are prepared for frequent business travel.
