Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Are you a Business Development professional who thrives on variety, enjoys building relationships and loves turning ideas into action?

We're looking for a Business Development Executive to join our growing Business Development & Marketing team at Cripps. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a professional services environment who enjoys working across pitches, events, campaigns, market research and strategic business development initiatives. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in helping our lawyers win new work, strengthen client relationships and drive growth across the firm.

What you'll be doing

As part of our collaborative Business Development team, you'll:

  • Support the delivery of sector and practice business development plans
  • Create compelling pitches, proposals and presentations that help us win new business
  • Develop marketing collateral, credentials, website content and thought leadership materials
  • Conduct market and client research to identify opportunities and trends
  • Support the planning and delivery of client events and marketing campaigns
  • Analyse business development activity, report on performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage and develop our CRM, pitch library and business development resources
  • Work closely with partners, lawyers and the wider marketing team across the firm

We're looking for someone who has:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a Business Development or Marketing role within a professional services firm (legal experience would be highly advantageous)
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience producing high-quality pitches and business development content
  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in understanding clients and markets
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Experience using CRM and marketing technology (or the ability to learn quickly)

Hybrid working statement

You'll spend at least 60% of your working week in the office, though we know there is no one-size-fits-all and arrangements may vary from role to role. Our strong culture is founded on working together in the office, which we aim to maintain through our people being regularly co-located, working cohesively and in collaboration with one another.
