Docklands Restaurants & Bars is a distinctive hospitality destination located next to ExCeL London, serving exhibition visitors, conference organizers, and corporate groups seeking memorable experiences. The venue can host up to 1,200 guests across three floors of flexible, thoughtfully designed spaces suitable for private dinners, brand activations, large-scale parties, and networking events. Each area can be tailored to feel intimate or dynamic, ensuring events of any size feel personalized and well-suited to guests’ needs. As an independently run business, the team focuses on attentive service, careful attention to detail, and a signature atmosphere that combines personality and professionalism.

Role Description:

The Business Development Executive role is an on-site position based in London. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with exhibition visitors, conference organizers, agencies, and corporate clients to grow event bookings and revenue. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and outreach, managing incoming leads, preparing proposals, coordinating site visits, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients. The Business Development Executive collaborates closely with operations and events teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery and to tailor solutions that match client requirements. The role also involves market research, tracking sales performance, and providing input on sales strategies and promotional initiatives.

We're looking for a driven, energetic, and commercially hungry Business Development Executive to join our central sales team to support The Fox Excel and Fox Connaught, two vibrant hospitality venues located next to ExCeL London, one of the UK's busiest exhibition and events destinations.

This is a proactive sales role focused on generating new business, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. From corporate events and private functions to Christmas parties and seasonal campaigns, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing new accounts, and converting leads into lasting business.

  • A self-starter with strong commercial awareness
  • Confident networking, cold calling, and building relationships
  • Target-driven with a passion for winning new business
  • Strong CRM and pipeline management skills
  • Hospitality experience beneficial but not essential
