We are a growing knitwear brand with full in-house production, allowing us to maintain exceptional control over quality, development and turnaround.
We are seeking a driven Business Development Executive to help grow our wholesale presence, build strong commercial relationships and introduce the brand to leading UK and international retailers.
This role is focused on opening doors, securing new stockists and developing long-term partnerships that reflect the quality and integrity of our knitwear collection.
Key Responsibilities
Wholesale & Sales Development
- Identify, approach, and secure new wholesale accounts across the UK and international markets
- Build and manage a pipeline of buyers, boutiques, and premium retailers
- Present collections confidently and professionally to buyers
- Manage the full sales process from initial outreach through to confirmed orders
- Support seasonal selling campaigns (AW / SS collections)
Relationship Building
- Build strong, long-term relationships with fashion buyers and retail partners
- Maintain regular contact with accounts to support reorders and growth
- Represent the brand in meetings, showroom appointments and trade environments
- Act as a key external ambassador for the brand

Brand & Market Development
- Identify new commercial opportunities and potential distribution channels
- Gather and feed back market intelligence on pricing, product performance and demand
- Support strategic growth into new territories and retail segments
- Help strengthen the brand’s positioning within the premium knitwear market
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate pipeline and contact data
- Track sales activity, opportunities and conversion rates
- Provide regular reporting on commercial progress
- Support forecasting and seasonal planning with the founder
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in fashion wholesale, sales or business development
- Strong understanding of the UK and/or international fashion retail landscape
- Proven ability to build and maintain buyer relationships
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Commercial mindset with a focus on driving results
- Highly organised with strong follow-up and pipeline management ability
- Self-motivated and able to work independently

Preferred Experience
- Existing network of fashion buyers or retail contacts
- Experience working with premium, contemporary, or luxury brands
- Understanding of knitwear, textiles or product-led fashion businesses
- Experience in trade showrooms, wholesale selling or brand representation

- Number of new wholesale accounts secured per season

- Quality and longevity of buyer relationships
- Contribution to overall commercial growth of the brand
Role Structure
This role may be structured as:
- Full-time, or
- Part-time / freelance with commission-based incentives depending on experience and network
Package will be tailored to experience, contacts and performance.
