Business Development Executive
About ETS and Chromalox
Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), part of Spirax Group, comprises Chromalox, Durex Industries, Vulcanic, and Thermocoax businesses. We specialise in designing electrical process heating and temperature management solutions, such as industrial heaters and systems, heat tracing, and high-tech component technologies.
At Chromalox, we build advanced thermal technologies for the world’s most demanding industrial heating applications. With roots in 100 years of innovation—beginning with the first metal-sheathed resistance heating element—we continue to push boundaries in sectors critical to our customers’ success.
Operating in industries that demand excellence—semiconductors, nuclear, aerospace, and defense—we deliver solutions that exceed specifications, minimise risk, and cut operating costs.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll work closely with the Business Development Director to drive commercial growth across two thermal solutions brands. This is a stepping-stone opportunity, where you’ll develop foundational BD skills by supporting critical analysis, preparation, and coordination duties in a globally focused, multi-channel environment.

- Build and update a comprehensive knowledge base on target markets, key accounts, and ecosystem stakeholders (customers, OEMs, partners, distributors).
- Analyse commercial and market data to derive actionable insights for strategic decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
