Business Development Executive
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Executive who will represent the company’s services to prospective clients, build client relationships, develop and close contracts to meet financial targets. The company is a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) based in the UK that focuses on preclinical drug discovery in the Immunology space. We are a contract research organisation (CRO) providing scientific solutions and people resource to our clients looking to outsource research in the pre-clinical drug discovery space.
The company focuses on the human immune system, working in all areas where the immune system either drives disease such as autoimmunity, inflammation, neuro-inflammation, and in areas where the immune system provides potential therapeutic target solutions such as immune-oncology, vaccine development, cellular therapies, gene therapies.

The role
We are looking for a collaborative, enthusiastic, Business Development Executive who will work on site or hybrid, with occasional travel opportunities. You will work within a Sales and Marketing team to represent our services to the BioPharma sector.
Who you are
You should have a background and passion for working in Business Development with an interest in preclinical discovery services and a good knowledge of Immunology and Cell Biology.
Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales and marketing KPI’s.
- Represent the company’s services to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in both scientific and business aspects.
- Work with management to prepare and implement a comprehensive territory management plan to identify new accounts and target opportunities within an assigned geographic region.
- Develop new prospective accounts and leads, qualify leads via frequent customer contact (virtual calls, in person meetings, conference planning/attendance, co-travel).
- Travel when required for client visits, team meetings, conferences, and other key events.
- Responsible for initiating/executing legal documents (CDA, T&C, MSA), accurate proposal generation (in liaison with the Scientific team), pricing agreements, and contractual terms.
- Work with the team on forecasting, trends, and service gaps in order to meet/exceed financial targets.
- Operate within a defined annual expenses budget.

Education
- MSc in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or related science required.
- PhD in Immunology or Cell/Molecular Biology would be favorable.
Experience
- At least two years’ experience in Business Development working within the BioPharma sector ideally with a focus on the USA market.
Salary
- £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
