Business Development Executive
Salary: £32k-£35k DOE + OTE
Location: Hybrid – Central London
Ark is partnering with a globally recognised events organisation that brings together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers across sectors including aviation, transport, energy, life sciences, and technology. Through a portfolio of internationally renowned conferences and exhibitions, they deliver world-class events that encourage innovation, facilitate meaningful business connections, and drive commercial success.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to add a Business Development Executive to their expanding commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in international events sales with a business known for investing in its people.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, working alongside experienced sales professionals, you'll play an important role in growing revenue across a portfolio of international events.
- Selling exhibition space and securing sponsorship agreements across a portfolio of international events
- Proactively identifying new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships
- Creating bespoke partnership solutions aligned to client goals and brand objectives
- Building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders and key industry figures
- Taking a consultative, solutions-led approach to sales
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of campaigns and partnerships
- Representing the business at UK and international industry events

About You
The role is ideal for someone early in their career with strong commercial potential, a proactive mindset, and a genuine desire to build a long-term career in a fast-paced international business.
- Up to 2 years’ professional experience
- Degree educated preferred, or able to demonstrate equivalent potential and capability
- Experience in recruitment, sales, business development, account management, or other commercial environments welcomed
- Demonstrated ability or strong potential in developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Curious, ambitious, commercially minded, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment and motivated by progression and achievement
- Interest in working within the events industry and supporting commercial growth across international event portfolios
- Previous events industry experience is not required, candidates from outside the sector are encouraged to apply.
