Business Development Executive

Office Location: Mainframe, London

Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)

Worldpanel by Numerator are currently recruiting for ambitious Business Development Executive to support sales activity across our FMCG clients. The role involves working with a variety of prospects, including those new to panel data and those we are aiming to strategically win from the competition. You will be expected to engage confidently with prospects, understand their challenges, and support in positioning the best Kantar solutions to help win their business.

The role is diverse, fast-paced, and offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across the core FMCG market. It requires someone with strong communication skills, commercial curiosity, and a proactive approach. You’ll work as part of a supportive and collaborative team, learning from experienced peers and working closely with your Business Unit Director. You’ll be given the tools and support to grow, while gradually taking more ownership over your own success.

Key Outcomes

  • Support the growth of the Dairy service by identifying and developing opportunities across existing and new clients.
  • Help win new business from competitors and tap into new revenue streams with guidance from senior team members.
  • Build strong working relationships with Client Service teams and assist in joint efforts to promote Worldpanel by Numerator’s products and services.
  • Work towards a personal revenue target and actively contribute to overall service and business growth.
  • Secure regular meetings and create tailored proposals for a broad list of target clients, while developing your own client relationships over time.
  • Develop a growing knowledge of your sector and share insights to support the wider New Business team.
  • Track and support revenue performance against individual goals, seeking input from senior team members when needed.
  • Take initiative to build prospect pipelines through store visits, attending conferences, and keeping up to date with industry trends.
  • Support the commercial process from initial enquiry through to solution development and proposal, with mentorship from senior colleagues.

What You'll Bring to Numerator

Key Capabilities

  • Demonstrated success in a previous sales, business development, or client-facing role.
  • Naturally confident in building relationships and credibility with both clients and internal teams.
  • Interest in developing coaching skills and learning from experienced team members. Willingness to adopt role model behaviours.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and platforms like Salesloft is desirable.
  • Able to understand and communicate the value of Worldpanel by Numerator’s data, and eager to build subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Motivated to learn, grow, and become a trusted voice in client and industry conversations.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to contribute to impactful client deliverables.
  • Open to feedback, new ideas, and driving positive change.
  • Commercial mindset with curiosity and the confidence to explore and discuss client challenges.
