Graduate Business Development Executive

Location: London Salary: From £30,000 per year + uncapped commission

About the Role

Illuminate BD is a London-based business development consultancy.

Our mission? To help creative agencies grow through high-quality outbound lead generation.

We’re searching for a motivated Graduate Business Development Executive to join our team, working closely with our founder in a hands-on, mentor-driven environment.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their career, eager to develop skills in sales, outreach, prospecting, and client delivery within the creative and marketing sectors.

You don’t need extensive experience—we value organisation, confidence, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on target companies, sectors, and key decision-makers in the creative and marketing industries.
  • Assist with outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, and telephonic engagement campaigns).
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for Illuminate BD and its clients.
  • Draft outreach messages, refine prospect lists, and provide client updates as required.
  • Develop the ability to engage professionally with senior marketing and brand contacts.
  • Collaborate with the founder in defining prospecting strategies, executing campaigns, and securing meeting bookings.
  • Maintain CRM systems and ensure prospecting records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Track outreach activity and contribute to compiling performance reports.
  • Stay updated with trends across creative agencies, brands, and marketing sectors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
