Business Development Executive

Location: Access to offices in the North West on occasion / Home based.

Are you an ambitious business development professional looking to make a real impact in healthcare and life sciences? We're looking for a Business Development Executive to join our clients growing commercial team and help accelerate partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, CROs and research organisations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our commercial pipeline while contributing to research that improves patient outcomes.

Working closely with our Sales Director, you'll be at the heart of our commercial activity—identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective partners and supporting the development of innovative research collaborations.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify and research new commercial opportunities across the pharmaceutical, CRO and life sciences sectors.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients through targeted outreach and networking.
  • Support the development and management of a high-quality commercial pipeline using CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare briefing materials and support proposal development.
  • Represent the organisation at industry conferences and networking events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to help shape our commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure opportunities progress smoothly from first conversation through to proposal.

What we're looking for

You'll be proactive, commercially minded and passionate about building relationships. You enjoy uncovering opportunities, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by contributing to meaningful healthcare innovation.

Essential

  • Experience in business development, sales support, commercial coordination or a similar role.
  • Ideally gained within life sciences, healthcare, clinical research or digital health.
  • Strong research and prospecting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and developing professional relationships.

  • Experience in clinical trials, real-world evidence or health data.
  • Knowledge of the UK healthcare or primary care research landscape.
