Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Farringdon.
We're looking for an ambitious and proactive Business Development Executive to join Truffle's growing commercial team. Sitting within our business development function and working closely to support the Partnerships & Commercial Growth Manager, this is a hands-on role focused on generating new leads, managing a strong pipeline, and converting opportunities into long-term client relationships.
You'll be the engine behind our outreach activity, identifying the right prospects, making first contact, qualifying opportunities, and supporting the end-to-end pitch process. This is a fantastic role for someone with 2–3 years of BD or sales experience who is ready to take ownership of their pipeline and grow within a fast-moving agency environment.
The Role
New Business Development
- Lead generation & outreach: Proactively identify and contact potential clients through a range of channels (calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events) to build a consistent flow of new opportunities.
- Lead qualification: Assess inbound and outbound leads against Truffle's ideal client profile, ensuring time and effort is focused on high-quality, well-aligned prospects.
- Pipeline management: Own and maintain an active, well-organised pipeline using our CRM, keeping records accurate and providing regular updates to the Partnerships & Commercial Growth Manager on lead progression and deal status.
- Supporting inbound enquiries: Work with the wider team to respond to and nurture inbound leads, helping move organic opportunities forward in a timely and professional manner.
- Proposal & pitch support: Contribute to the development of tailored proposals, presentations, and credentials decks, drawing on Truffle's social media expertise and showcasing our value to prospective clients.
- Closing deals: Support and lead contract discussions where appropriate, working towards agreed targets and contributing to the agency's revenue growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
