Business Development Executive – Security Solutions | UK (Hybrid, Home-Based)
Are you in B2B or B2G sales within a technical field — IT, networking, electronics or engineered systems, selling into commercial, government or corporate enterprise environments? Ready for a step up into longer, more complex, higher-value sales cycles?
We're interested in commercially driven salespeople who combine genuine technical curiosity with the ability to open doors and build lasting relationships. Above all, we're looking for drive and appetite rather than years served.
The opportunity
Our client provides high-value, mission-critical security systems and individual opportunities can reach seven figures and typically involve structured bid and tender processes. If you haven't sold at this level before, that's fine: you'll work alongside a Senior Business Development Manager who will guide and develop you through bids and tenders of this scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Full product training is provided
- You'll be backed by engineering and pre-sales technical consultants throughout
You don't need an engineering degree. A technical foundation or genuine interest in electronics, IT systems, integration or networking is highly relevant, but curiosity and the willingness to learn a differentiated product matter more.
The role
Your primary focus is opening up new markets with proactive outreach and business development into new verticals where there is a clear requirement for this class of security product. Alongside this, you'll take on a portfolio of established accounts in law enforcement, government and similar sectors, with a proper transition and handover period so you inherit these relationships gradually, not cold.
