Business Development Executive

Bury, Greater Manchester

£28,000 - £30,000 + 15% Annual Bonus

Full-time | Office-based

I'm currently working with an award-winning commercial energy supplier that's looking to add a Business Development Executive to its commercial team.

This isn't your typical Business Development role.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day behind a desk making cold calls. Instead, you'll work alongside an experienced Business Development Manager, learning how to build and grow long-term relationships with energy brokers.

A major part of the role involves attending face-to-face meetings, networking events and client hospitality, with recent events including Formula 1 at Silverstone and England's Test Match at The Oval.

As your experience grows, you'll begin managing your own relationships and representing the business at these events, with a clear pathway into a Business Development Manager position within 18-24 months.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
