Job Description:
As our Business Development Executive, you will be right in the mix, helping us show up well at industry events (owning the end-to-end planning and execution), support in keeping our marketing sharp, and make sure the BD engine runs smoothly behind the scenes. You will be working closely with the Business Development Lead, supporting the go-to-market (BD and Sales) team’s presence across the water, energy, and wider circularity sectors. We work in sectors that are changing fast, and our approach to business development is evolving with them. We use modern tools including AI to work smarter, and we are looking for someone who is open to that.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you’ll do:
- Research and identify the right conferences, exhibitions, and webinars across the utilities and energy sectors, and own the logistics end-to-end
- Own and manage participation to industry events, award submissions, and speaking opportunities, and track event ROI and outcomes
- Help organise client networking events and internal workshops - this is a client-facing role, so you'll be meeting prospects and partners at events alongside the team
- Support target identification and lead generation, researching new stakeholders, emerging projects, and decision-makers across water, energy, and wider circularity sectors
- Support stakeholder mapping exercises, and understand relevant funding mechanisms, innovation, and procurement opportunities worth exploring
- Support the production of marketing collateral, from sector-specific content to event materials, while maintaining brand consistency
- Assist with social content and thought leadership work aligned to our BD and Marketing priorities
- Track internal deadlines across the team (abstracts, presentations, award submissions) and provide general operational support to the Business Development Lead as the function scales
