About The Cork Club
The Cork Club is building the UK’s leading wine community for young professionals.
At its heart is our monthly members’ club, running from September to June, where the same community comes together each month to discover exceptional wines, meet new people and continue learning together. Every evening follows our tried-and-tested format, combining six carefully selected wines, expert wine host and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between learning and meeting new people. It’s a format our members know, love and return for month after month.
Following two successful seasons in Battersea, we’re launching our second monthly club in the City this September, bringing The Cork Club to two London communities.
Alongside our members’ clubs, we also deliver premium corporate wine tastings, private celebrations and bespoke events for companies and individuals looking for memorable wine experiences.
Our Vision
To become the UK’s go-to brand for unforgettable wine experiences.
Our Values
We believe great businesses are built the old-fashioned way.
By earning trust, building genuine relationships and creating experiences that people genuinely want to tell their friends about.
In a world of endless subscriptions, constant advertising and businesses competing for our attention, we’d rather earn recommendations than buy them.
We don’t believe every partnership is the right partnership, or that every opportunity should be monetised.
Whether we’re hosting a members’ tasting, a corporate tasting or a private celebration, our aim is always the same: to create an experience that’s genuinely worth people’s time.
That’s why we’re thoughtful about who we work with, protective of the trust people place in us, and always focused on creating long-term value rather than chasing short-term wins.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Everything we do comes back to one simple question:
“Will this make The Cork Club better for the people we’re serving?”
If the answer is yes, we’ll give it everything we’ve got.
If the answer is no, we’ll politely walk away.

The Role
This is a flexible business development role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities and isn’t afraid to put themselves out there.
Your primary focus will be helping grow The Cork Club’s corporate and private events business, while also identifying opportunities that support the wider growth of The Cork Club.
This includes generating bookings for:
- Corporate team socials
- Client entertainment
- Office events
- Private celebrations
- Networking events
- Brand experiences
- Alumni (school and university) networks
No two weeks will look the same.
One day you might be reaching out to companies about a corporate tasting.
The next you could be approaching a venue that would make a fantastic Cork Club home, introducing yourself to a potential partner, creating LinkedIn content, following up on enquiries or developing new ways to generate bookings and awareness.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys using their initiative, thinking commercially and trying new ideas.
Cold outreach, networking, relationship building and content creation will all play a part. There isn’t a rigid sales script - we’re much more interested in someone who can think creatively and spot opportunities.
You’ll have everything you need to succeed, including pricing, sales materials, event information and ongoing support, but you’ll also have the freedom to shape how you approach the role.
⸻
What You’ll Receive
- 10% commission on every new booking, plus repeat booking commission
- Complete flexibility around your existing career
- Freedom to shape how we grow
- Complimentary access to most Cork Club events
- Real responsibility from day one
- The chance to help build a brand from the ground up
- Significant opportunities to grow role as The Cork Club expands
