Business Development Executive
Business Development Executive – Leicester Branch (LE7 7NL)
We are looking to strengthen our team and recruit a Business Development Executive to support the ambitious plans at BPX Leicester (LE7 7NL). We seek an experienced sales professional with the ability to identify new business opportunities, lead growth initiatives, and build strong customer relationships.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by developing both new and existing businesses within your defined geographical area.
- Build trust and relationships with customers, manufacturers, and colleagues, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Adopt a consultative sales approach, presenting value-driven solutions to address industrial control and automation challenges.
- Balance prospecting for new business alongside enhancing existing accounts and maintaining contact.
- Maintain visibility at the BPX branch while staying engaged with local market dynamics.
- Support marketing activities, including campaigns, promotions, events, and competitions to raise customer awareness.
- Commit to continuous learning through technical and non-technical training and development.

Requirements & Skills
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within industrial distribution.
- Ability to identify and drive sales opportunities via new and existing accounts or partnerships.
- Understanding of market dynamics between manufacturers, distributors, and end customers.
- Strong grasp of industrial control and automation solutions.

- Exceptional relationship builder—able to connect with customers, partners, and teams.
- Consultative communicator who listens to challenges and presents strategic solutions.
- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation skills.

Technical & Practical
- CRM system proficiency (tracking reports, managing leads, and analytics reporting).
