Business Development Executive
We are looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our ambitious commercial team. The BDE is a new role, responsible for pipeline generation and early-stage opportunity creation across Seriös Group’s priority sectors. Sitting within the BD function and reporting to the Business Development Lead, the BDE focuses on targeted outbound prospecting, research-led outreach, and generating high-quality qualified meetings and opportunities for the BD team. This role is built for someone with strong outbound instincts, genuine curiosity about client challenges, and the energy and persistence to engage senior stakeholders in data, AI, and digital transformation conversations. The BDE works closely with the BD Manager, BD Lead and Marketing team to execute campaign-led go-to-market activity aligned to Seriös Group’s commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities: Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation Execute targeted outbound prospecting into named enterprise accounts, aligned to Seriös Group’s commercial strategy and sector priorities. Generate high-quality qualified meetings and opportunities for BDMs across Financial Services, iGaming, Technology, Retail & Hospitality, and the Built Environment. Maintain a disciplined, repeatable prospecting rhythm across outbound channels including email, LinkedIn, phone, and events. Conduct research-driven outreach tailored to specific industry pain points, such as data fragmentation, governance challenges, and cost pressure. Engage senior stakeholders at Director to C-level through personalised, insight-led outreach rather than scripted or volume-based approaches. Campaign Support & Market Engagement Support sector-focused campaigns and account-based go-to-market initiatives in collaboration with Marketing and BDMs. Partner with Marketing to execute multi-channel outreach campaigns that activate target accounts and sectors. Represent Seriös Group at industry events and roundtables, building relationships and identifying qualified prospects. Contribute to the development of outreach messaging, content, and campaign materials. Pipeline Management & CRM Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate pipeline tracking to ensure clear visibility of prospecting activity and opportunity status. Qualify leads against agreed criteria to ensure focus on the right accounts and opportunities. Ensure smooth, well-prepared handovers of qualified opportunities to BDMs, with clear context and momentum preserved. Track outreach activity and conversion metrics to support performance reporting and continuous improvement. Insight & Continuous Improvement Conduct ongoing research into target sectors, prospect organisations, and relevant market trends to sharpen outreach quality. Share insights and feedback with the BD Manager & BD Lead, Marketing, and wider commercial team to inform targeting and messaging. Actively seek coaching and development from the BD Manager & BD Lead, embracing feedback to improve outbound sales skills. Identify opportunities to improve outreach approaches, tools, and ways of working. The above list is non-exhaustive. Requirements: Experience in B2B lead generation or outbound sales, ideally in a technology, data, or professional services environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, personalised outreach. Ability to articulate value propositions clearly, focusing on business outcomes rather than product features. Resilient and proactive outbound mindset — comfortable with persistence and comfortable in a metrics-driven environment. Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders (Director to C-level) with confidence and credibility. Strong organisation and pipeline management skills. Desirable Exposure to data, analytics, cloud, or AI topics, with the ability to discuss them in business terms. Familiarity with CRM systems and outreach tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator). Experience working in a high-growth, scale-up, or consultancy environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
