Business Development Manager

Manchester (The Bridgeworks) · Hybrid

Learning is now one of the biggest priorities for organisations, with around £4 billion invested annually in the UK alone. The market continues to grow rapidly, driven by AI, compliance, upskilling, and workforce reskilling.

Yet many organisations still struggle to deliver engaging, agile learning experiences because of limited functionality and inflexible technology.

Electric Circus is one of the UK's leading learning experience consultancies. We design and build custom learning experiences that sit alongside or enhance existing platforms, helping organisations such as The Coca-Cola Company, The LEGO Group and Tesco close the gap between the digital experiences people have at work and those they enjoy at home.

As a Business Development Consultant, you'll play a key role in driving our growth by creating and converting new business opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll engage with senior decision-makers, confirm their challenges, and introduce them to solutions that genuinely add value.
  • Research and identify HR Directors, Chief People Officers and Heads of L&D at UK organisations with 500+ employees
  • Collaborate with our marketing specialist to refine messaging and strategy to build awareness of our offering and support your sales success
  • Build and test an effective blend of ways to start conversations with targets – outbound calls, targeted emails, networking events, conference speaking
  • Use the frustrations they have with existing HR Technology or Learning Platform to book meetings and demonstrations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
