About the Role
We are looking for a driven, commercially focused Business Development Executive to join our client’s growing sales team. This is a proactive sales role focused on generating new business opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and building relationships across both new and existing accounts within the corporate sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, organising customer meetings, generating pipeline, and proactively engaging with both warm and cold prospects. There is also a strong existing customer base, including dormant accounts, that will require re-engagement and development, along-side leads from marketing.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales, enjoys opening doors, building customer relationships, and has an interest in technology solutions across IT infrastructure, cyber security, networking, cloud, and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
- Contact and engage both warm and cold leads to identify potential opportunities
- Re-engage dormant customer accounts and identify opportunities to bring business back into active conversations
- Organise and schedule appointments, customer meetings, and introductory sales discussions
- Identify opportunities across IT infrastructure, networking, cyber security, cloud, collaboration, and managed technology solutions
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, technical stakeholders, and business leaders
- Manage the sales process from initial outreach through to proposal and close
- Work alongside internal pre-sales and technical teams to create tailored customer solutions
- Deliver sales presentations, proposals, and commercial discussions with prospective customers
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Stay up to date with emerging technology trends and market developments across the IT industry

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
