Business Development Executive

We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Executive to join our growing Industry team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys researching, outbound calling, and is motivated by uncovering new business opportunities.

You'll be the first point of contact for many of our prospective clients, creating qualified leads and booking meaningful meetings for our Estimating Team.

Please note the following:

  • This is not a closing/sales role; your success comes from opening doors, not closing deals
  • This is a fully office-based role, not hybrid
  • A great fit for someone who enjoys teamwork, structure, and high-quality customer interactions

What You'll Be Doing

  • Making 10-25 outbound calls per day to professionals such as Site Managers, Project Managers, QS Managers, Estimators, Pre-Construction teams, Buyers, and H&S leads within the Industry sector, covering Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Renewables, and more.
  • Speaking with around 10 decision-makers per day once settled into the role
  • Building strong relationships by asking smart, targeted questions
  • Using LinkedIn and other tools to research and source new contacts
  • Tracking down upcoming projects and identifying where we can support clients on site
  • Securing high-quality leads and arranging meetings for our Estimating Team
  • Working towards KPIs and contributing positively to a collaborative, values-driven team culture

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
