About the Role
Brook Green Supply (BGS) is an independent B2B energy supplier dedicated to delivering energy supply and Net-Zero solutions for industrial and commercial clients.
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our direct commercial client base. Your responsibilities will include identifying new opportunities, designing tailored value propositions, and securing deals that foster revenue and margin growth. This role requires a proactive, commercially savvy candidate who excels in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Lead Generation
- Engage directly with commercial clients (consumption range: 0.25–25 GWh), encompassing both electricity and gas industries.
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, tendering, and closure of deals.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure retention and growth.
- Proactively drive prospects through the sales pipeline, converting opportunities into closed deals.

Tender & Proposal Management
- Arrange meetings with prospective clients to showcase BGS’ products and services.
- Oversee and coordinate complex tender processes from enquiry to final deal acceptance.
- Ensure professional, efficient, and accurate bid submissions to secure renewals and negotiate favourable terms.
- Collaborate with the sales team to structure optimal pricing, proposals, and deal terms.
Product Sales & Value Proposition
- Develop customised value propositions that differentiate BGS from competitors (TPIs).
- Present and sell fixed-price and Flex Lite products, highlighting key benefits to prospective clients.
- Monitor and build a target market sales pipeline, integrating both inbound and outbound leads.
Market Research & Growth Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities: emerging markets, growth areas, and strategic partnerships.
- Research and refine market trends to inform projectable revenue forecasts.
- Contribute to and execute targeted sales campaigns to accelerate pipeline growth.

Commercial & Technical Knowledge
- Proven B2B sales experience (preferably in the energy sector or a related industry).
- Familiarity with the UK energy markets is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Ability to craft tailored value propositions that align with client needs.
Soft Skills & Mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills—charismatic, trustworthy, and persuasive.
- Entrepreneurial drive to deliver measurable growth for BGS.
- Clear and engaging written and verbal communication to explain complex solutions.
Analytical & Operational Strengths
- Commercially astute—pricing, negotiation, and revenue-margin optimisation.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with precision and adaptability.
