Award-winning media events business seeks a highly talented, degree-educated Business Development Executive to join their high-growth sales team in London.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Executive to join our client’s sales team, working across two flagship brands.

Ideal for career growth: This opportunity provides a gateway into sales, with a focus on:

  • Generating new business opportunities through outbound activities (phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
  • Identifying and qualifying potential exhibitors and sponsors
  • Passing high-quality leads to the wider sales team for deal closure

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls and emails to prospective exhibitors and sponsors
  • Generate and qualify new business leads for the sales team
  • Research potential commercial opportunities within target companies
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects using the CRM system
  • Coordinate bookings for meetings and appointments with senior sales reps
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support:
    • Campaign activities
    • Exhibitor delivery
  • Attend industry events when required for networking and lead generation

Profile Required

  • Degree-educated (ideal)
  • Strong communication skills—friendly, professional, confident phone manner
  • Comfortable conducting outbound sales calls
  • Positive, resilient, and self-motivated mindset
  • Eagerness to develop a career in sales
  • Target-driven and results-focused
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
  • Desirable but not essential:
    • Previous experience in customer service, telesales, or sales
  • Interest in media/events advantageous
  • Growth mindset with ambition to meet KPIs
