Business Development Executive
Business Development / Account Manager – Electronics Sector
Location: South East England (Remote / Field-Based)
A leading technical distributor in the electronic components and engineering solutions space is seeking a driven Business Development / Account Manager to accelerate growth and bolster key account relationships across the South East region. This role offers a highly rewarding opportunity to collaborate with OEMs, engineers, and technical buyers across diverse industries.
The Role
Tiwill take full ownership of the South East England region, overseeing a blend of new business development and account management. The ideal candidate should exhibit a commercially astute, proactive approach toMaximise revenue growth within a technical product portfolio.
Working closely with internal teams (technical and operations), you’ll guide entire sales cycles—from lead generation, quoting, negotiation to deal closing and ongoing account expansion.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities in electronic components and engineering solutions
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, increasing product penetration
- Forged strong, long-term relationships with:
- OEMs
- Engineers
- Technical/Procurement teams
- Identify emerging market trends, competitor movements, and new revenue streams
- Own the full sales cycle, including quoting, negotiation, and closing
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts
- Conduct customer visits, meetings, and attend industry exhibitions
The Person
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- Essential: Proven experience in business development or technical sales
- Preferred: Background in electronics, electrical engineering, components, sensors, or related sectors
- Strong commercial awareness, with a consultative sales approach
- Experience managing a territory autonomously
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven

The Package
- Base salary up to £50K (DOE) + commission
- Company car (post-probation) or car allowance
