This stepping-stone business development and commercial support role involves working directly with the Business Development Director to stimulate growth across two thermal-solutions brands in high-technology sectors:
- Semiconductor fabrication equipment
- Nuclear
- Aerospace & Defense
Role specifics:
- Resolutely international and multi-channel environment.
- Learn the business development trade in depth alongside the Director.
- Take full ownership of analysis, preparation, and coordination essential for the BD function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to the BD Director
- Prepare the Director’s working materials:
- Presentations (slides)
- Briefing notes
- Opportunity files
- Meeting minutes
- Track actions and deadlines via:
- BD dashboard
- Initiative tracking
- Internal follow-ups
- Prepare and consolidate inputs for:
- Committees
- Pipeline reviews
- Prepare the Director’s working materials:

Market research and analysis
- Conduct research to identify:
- Market opportunities
- Emerging trends
- Competitor moves
- Technological developments
- Build and maintain a knowledge base covering:
- Target markets
- Key accounts
- The wider ecosystem (direct customers, OEMs, distributors, partners, competitors)
- Analyse commercial and market data to extract actionable insights
- Conduct research to identify:

Support to the sales organization and channels
- Contribute to the development of segment and channel playbooks:
- Direct sales
- OEM (original equipment manufacturer)
- Distribution
- Help leverage sales and marketing assets to engage prospects across all channels
- Contribute to initiatives structuring and growing the commercial organisation:
- Aligning practices across the two brands
- Rolling out new tools or processes
- Contribute to the development of segment and channel playbooks:

Technical coordination and proposals
- Work with technical teams to develop deep product and solution knowledge
- Help prepare client proposals and presentations focussed on the value proposition
Requirements

Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from:
- An engineering school
- A scientific/technical university
- Any commercially oriented course with a technical bias
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from:
-
Experience (1 to 3 years)
- Sales, business development, or commercial support function (ideal特征: industrial or technical environment)
- Early success required, with potential and mindset taking precedence
- Minimal international exposure to function confidently in a multicultural setting
- Early customer-facing experience, either directly (relationships, sales) or indirectly (OEM or distributor engagements)
- Familiarity with numbers, analysis, and commercial synthesis, including proficiency in:
- Excel
- Market and competitor research
- Research and synthesis work
- Sales, business development, or commercial support function (ideal特征: industrial or technical environment)

Soft Skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills, including PowerPoint competence as a strong asset
- Technical curiosity with a strong interest in industrial product mechanics
- Diplomatic oral precision to suit internal and external communications

- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory

Preferred Experience/Qualities
- Awareness of commercial organisation operations, including interactions between roles (BD, sales, marketing).
- An early career interest in change management and structuring commercial practices.
- Experience in (or orientation toward) multi-brand or multi-channel settings.
