About the Role
Aqua Cure is looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing commercial team based at our head office in Burscough. This is a fully office-based role and an exciting opportunity to become part of a business that is investing in and expanding its commercial function.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated by success, progression, and earning potential. Whether your background is in water treatment, industrial sales, recruitment, telesales, or another outbound sales environment, we are interested in people with the right attitude, confidence, and determination to succeed. Water treatment experience is advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, re-engaging dormant and lapsed customers, and developing revenue growth within existing accounts. This role will suit someone who enjoys speaking with customers, thrives in a target-driven environment, and demonstrates the resilience to overcome challenges and maintain momentum.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, business development, telesales, account management, or relevant discipline.
- A strong desire to succeed and progress within a sales career.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and developing new business opportunities.
- Resilient, determined, and able to remain motivated following setbacks.
- Target-driven with a proactive approach to achieving results.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly absorb product, market, and industry knowledge.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with customers at all levels.
- Experience using CRM systems would be advantageous.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.

Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity.
- Contact and re-engage dormant, non-trading, and lapsed customers.
- Develop and grow revenue from existing customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted point of contact.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Aqua Cure products and services.
- Manage opportunities through the sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion.
- Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information within the CRM system.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue opportunities.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and resolve issues effectively.
- Escalate critical customer concerns through the appropriate channels when required.
- Deliver product and technical training to customers where appropriate.
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider business to maximise sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Consistently work towards individual and team sales objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent follow-up, objection-handling, and negotiation skills to maximise conversions and revenue growth.
