Business Development Executive – On Trade

Location:

  • Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Chester, and surrounding areas

Contract:

  • Full Time, Permanent

Salary:

  • £28,000 – £30,000 per annum + 20% bonus opportunity + Company Car
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs/week

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and commercially-minded individual to join our On Trade field sales team, tasked with representing the Molson Coors draught portfolio under the Powerforce brand.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and manage a defined territory, ensuring distribution, sales and visibility of Molson Coors brands across leased and tenanted pubs and bars.
  • Support customers in growing their businesses while aligning with channel objectives.
  • Work directly under Molson Coors, employed by Powerforce to deliver sales and distribution targets.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Executive, you will:

Sales & Distribution

  • Successfully plan, sell and negotiate new and incremental distribution opportunities for the Molson Coors draught portfolio, including existing and new customers.
  • Employ a category-led selling approach to secure high rates of product sales and implement customer-first solutions.
  • Maximise brand visibility through:
    • Outlet and new product launches
    • Activation projects
    • Route-to-market programmes

Territory & Relationship Management

  • Develop and carry out an effective customer contact strategy, including proactive meeting scheduling and a robust sales pipeline.
  • Accurately capture customer and outlet data, supporting reporting, commercial planning and future objectives.
  • Analyse territory performance to identify opportunities, review progress, and optimise sales execution.

Requirements

We are seeking:

  • Field sales experience (preferably within the UK On Trade sector).
  • A confident communicator with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • A commercially-oriented mindset, with skill in translating insights into customer conversations.
  • Self-motivation, with skills in territory organisation and planning.
  • Comfort using technology and data analysis to measure performance.
  • Experience with category-based selling techniques (advantageous).
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a focus on mutually beneficial outcomes.

Must-Haves

  • Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
  • A deep passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to excel in field sales.
