This is a full-time, remote Business Development Executive role based in the Aberdeenshire/Inverness area. The role involves identifying and approaching prospective retail partners, generating qualified leads, and converting new business opportunities within the independent retail sector. The Business Development Executive will manage and grow existing accounts, conduct regular check-ins, and provide product guidance to support client success.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering sales presentations
- Negotiating commercial terms
- Maintaining accurate records of activity and performance in CRM systems
- Close collaboration with internal teams on pricing, stock availability, and marketing initiatives to ensure clients receive a consistent, growth-focused service experience
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with a track record of building profitable client relationships.
- Strong Business and Account Management skills, including pipeline management, forecasting, and retention of key accounts.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present solutions clearly and confidently to diverse stakeholders.
- Previous experience in B2B sales, distribution, or FMCG sectors; experience in the vape or related consumer goods industry is an advantage.
- Comfort working in a target-driven environment, with strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and be willing to travel to cover a territory.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations) to record and analyze sales activities.
- Relevant education in business, sales, marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
