About the Role
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll work closely with the founder and the marketing, operations, and community teams to drive growth, build partnerships, onboard home chefs, and support our London launch. You’ll be at the heart of our expansion- identifying opportunities, connecting with communities, and helping OhMyFood grow area by area.
This role is perfect for someone who is confident, people-friendly, organised, and excited to contribute to an early-stage startup.
What You’ll Do
- Chef outreach - Identify and connect with talented home chefs, food creators, and community cooks.
- Community engagement - Build relationships with student groups, residential communities, South Asian networks, and local organisations.
- Partnership building - Reach out to societies, accommodation groups, cultural associations, and local businesses.
- Customer acquisition - Support online/offline outreach to help customers discover OhMyFood.
- Market research - Identify high-potential London areas based on demand, chef availability, and community presence.
- Pipeline management - Maintain outreach lists, trackers, follow-ups, and lead conversations.
- Marketing support - Assist with referral campaigns, surveys, promotions, and community-led growth.
- Feedback collection - Gather insights from chefs and customers to improve our product and launch strategy.
- Launch support - Contribute to area-wise growth, early validation, and launch execution.
- Reporting - Share regular updates on leads, conversations, blockers, and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, community outreach, hospitality, or startup growth.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in approaching new people.
- Comfortable reaching out via LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email, calls, and community networks.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage outreach pipelines independently.
- Interest in food, community, startups, marketplaces, or local business growth.
- Experience with Google Sheets, CRM tools, LinkedIn outreach, or WhatsApp communities is a plus.
- Knowledge of London communities (student areas, professional housing, South Asian groups) is highly desirable.
