Help shape the next stage of apprenticeship growth.
Cognition Evolve is growing its Early Years apprenticeship offer and we are looking for an ambitious Employer Engagement Partner to help build relationships with nurseries, childcare providers, early years settings and wider education partners. This is an Employer Engagement and Sales role focused on creating high-quality apprenticeship opportunities within the Early Years sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage as we expand our Early Years apprenticeship provision nationally. The role will focus on developing employer relationships across the childcare and early education sector, including:
- Nurseries and private, voluntary and independent childcare providers
- Early Years employers, schools with nursery provision and wider childcare networks
- Additional Early Years and education-related pathways may be developed as the service grows.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships with Early Years employers, opening new opportunities and helping providers use apprenticeships to attract, develop and retain skilled childcare professionals.
This is primarily a new business and growth role focused on generating Early Years apprenticeship starts and building a national employer pipeline across the childcare sector.
The Role
You will take ownership of developing new relationships with Early Years employers, identifying workforce development opportunities and converting interest into apprenticeship starts.
Working alongside recruitment, delivery and apprenticeship colleagues, you will help Early Years employers understand staffing, skills and development needs and match apprenticeship solutions that support both setting performance and learner success.
You will retain ownership of employer relationships beyond initial onboarding to support repeat opportunities, future cohorts and longer-term Early Years apprenticeship growth.
This is a national role. Most engagement activity is expected to take place remotely.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
