Due to continued growth, we are working with an established Digital Transformation consultancy investing heavily in its next phase of expansion. Renowned for delivering complex technology programmes across the public sector, they now seek a commercially driven Business Development Lead to drive new revenue opportunities and support ambitious growth plans.

The Business Development Lead Role

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across public and private sectors
  • Develop relationships, navigate government procurement routes, and build proposals for long-term growth
  • Work alongside the internal academy team to expand and commercialise the external training offering
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to:
    • Identify new markets
    • Develop strategic partnerships
    • Contribute directly to the company’s ambitious growth plans

Key Activities

  • Market & opportunity analysis in Digital Transformation, Cloud, and Enterprise Technology
  • Proposal development and bid management
  • Stakeholder engagement and client relationship building
  • Strategy alignment with senior decision-makers

Business Development Lead: Essential Skills

Experience & Competencies

  • Proven track record in Business Development within Digital Transformation, Technology, or Consultancy
  • Experience securing public sector and government contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to:
    • Identify and develop new markets
    • Build strategic partnerships
    • Develop compelling proposals
  • Ability to operate independently, taking ownership of business growth initiatives

Preferred Attributes

  • Knowledge of Digital Transformation, Cloud, or Enterprise Technology services
  • Familiarity with AWS or Oracle platforms would be advantageous
