About the Role

As Business Development Lead (UK Market), you will be pivotal in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the UK. This is a dynamic role where your work will directly influence Lalamove’s expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Identify & Explore Opportunities – Work to maintain a strong business pipeline, aligning with sales strategy while formulating periodic business development plans.
  • Project Management – Lead and monitor business projects or campaigns to hit expected results.
  • Contract Negotiations – Facilitate negotiations to establish strong, sustainable partnerships with local stakeholders.
  • Sales & Proposals – Develop and deliver professional presentations, logistics solutions, quotations (RFQ/RFP), and bid responses.
  • Data-Driven Reporting – Analyze and present business forecasts, industry reports, and strategic insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Market Insights – Stay updated on industry trends to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree & Experience: Hold a university degree with at least 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in logistics, transport, or related fields.
  • Sales & Revenue Track Record: Proven ability to identify, secure, and close high-value business deals, consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Market Acumen: Deep understanding of the UK logistics market, including trends, customer preferences, and key industry players.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Skilled in obtaining commercial agreements, delivering persuasive presentations, and maintaining strong verbal & written communication.
  • Strategic Analysis: Strong data-driven strategic thinking to solve challenges and drive growth.
  • Leadership: Highly collaborative team leader with experience in coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive working culture.
  • Language: Fluency in English (required).
  • Technical Skill: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
