What you will be doing
As a Business Development Lead at Rolls-Royce, you will play a key role in supporting across Submarines and Civil Nuclear energy. You’ll coordinate activities across the business development lifecycle, supporting campaigns from early solution development through to bid and client engagement.
This role provides the opportunity to work with multi-disciplinary teams, engage with a variety of customers, and develop best-practice approaches to winning new business. It’s a chance to make a tangible impact on major national programmes while expanding your experience across Defence and Civil Nuclear sectors.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the central point of coordination for business development activities, working with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that campaigns are effectively planned, executed, and aligned to strategic objectives. You will have the opportunity to shape approaches, contribute to lessons learned, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outputs across multiple programmes. You’ll also be:
- Supporting business development lifecycle activities, from opportunity identification to capture planning and bid development.
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to develop strategic campaigns and pursue opportunities across Defence and Civil Nuclear sectors.
- Collaborating across internal teams to ensure alignment, process compliance, and effective delivery of business development initiatives.
- Creating compelling internal and external presentations, proposals, and materials to communicate Rolls-Royce’s value propositions.
- Supporting lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to embed best practices across the business development function.

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Staff Grade 7-10.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business, an individual must hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
