Business Development Manager - Tech, Corp & Litigation

18-Month Fixed-Term Contract

City of London | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home)
Up to £85,000 depending on experience

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its London team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded business development professional to play a key role in supporting growth initiatives, strengthening client relationships and driving strategic business development activities across a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead a broad range of business development and marketing initiatives designed to enhance market presence, win new work and support client retention. You will also contribute to key strategic projects, oversee high-profile pitches and proposals, and help deliver impactful client and sector-focused campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading strategic business development initiatives that support growth objectives.
  • Managing complex pitches, proposals and tender opportunities.
  • Supporting key client relationship programmes and account management activities.
  • Delivering marketing campaigns, thought leadership and profile-raising initiatives.
  • Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and implement business plans.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members where required.

About You

  • Significant experience within business development, marketing or client development in a professional services environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at a senior level.
  • Commercially aware with excellent project management capabilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working within a partnership-led or matrix organisation would be advantageous.
