Job Introduction

Our Business Development Managers key focus is to maximise revenue and profit by developing and managing a range of accounts, projects and prospects through self-driven pro-active activity. If you have a strong proven sales background and enjoy seeking and developing new accounts then we’d love to hear from you.

Covering the wider Scotland and North East region, the right individual will be ideally based in the central belt in Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh) area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focussed activity around our target market, specifically Tier 1 mechanical contractors and associated trades
  • Focussed activity with Health and Safety contacts presenting and demonstrating innovative and safe solutions
  • Focussed activity on principle contractors and national/regional subcontractors
  • Focussed activity on major regional projects
  • Regular involvement with the regional sales teams agreeing project and customer targets and reviewed quarterly
  • Development of relationships with key decision makers and influencers within target customers, major projects and principle contractors
  • Introduction of key customer contacts to regional sales teams
  • Transparency of activity to key stakeholders utilising the CRM system
  • Develop a full understanding of existing and new products and any associated legislation as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent track record of winning major accounts from identification of opportunity, to negotiation and delivery of service
  • Experience of working within the M&E sector, with proven results in this area
  • Evidence of new business revenue growth. E.g. Accounts or prospects that have been developed and how this was achieved.
  • Being product orientated with an ability to demonstrate as and when required
  • Experience of developing relationships at project level
  • Highly motivated with strong commercial skills
  • Action-orientated and can ‘make things happen’
  • Living on patch (ideally in the Scottish central belt, Glasgow/Edinburgh area)
  • Presentation skills, influencing techniques, overcoming objections, communication skills all necessary at a developed level
  • Valid driving licence
