Business Development Manager (Central Government)
Role Details
- Position Type: Permanent
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Remote, with travel to client sites as required
- Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + 20% OTE
- Clearance: SC eligibility preferred
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business growth across UK Central Government accounts i.e. HMRC, DWP, FCDO, DEFRA, MOJ
- Develop and execute strategic sales and pursuit plans for key opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, outreach and industry engagement
- Identify strategic partnerships to expand market presence and service offering
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to support targeted campaigns and client engagement

- Proven track record selling digital services and solutions into UK Central Government
- Strong understanding of public sector commercial frameworks, programmes and projects
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build long-term client relationships and generate repeat business
- Knowledge of government digital standards, delivery approaches and transformation programmes
- Desirable experience working with major government departments, alongside cloud and AI solutions
