Business Development Manager – Trade Credit Insurance
Location: North East London & Essex | Field-Based
Competitive Salary & Commission: £40,000–£50,000 basic + uncapped commission £80,000+ OTE (On-Target Earnings)

The Opportunity
This is a pure new business role focused on helping SMEs safeguard against bad debt and non-payment, ensuring confidence in cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and build client relationships with business owners and senior financial stakeholders (MDs, FDs)
- Introduce trade credit insurance as a consultative solution that enhances business resilience
- Leverage a territory of warm leads, including:
- Broker partnerships
- Referral networks
- Marketing campaigns
- Internal lead generation
- Proactively generate and win new business across North East London & Essex
Requirements
We seek driven, commercially minded sales professionals who excel at opening doors and closing deals. Ideal candidates will have:

- 3+ years of experience in field-based B2B sales
- A proven track record of winning new business
- Strong financial literacy with credibility to engage with Managing Directors, Finance Directors, and business owners
- Exceptional organisation and pipeline management skills
- Experience in:
- Financial services
- Insurance
- Invoice/trade finance
- Business lending
- Wealth management
- Or any consultative B2B sales environment
Above all, we’re looking for motivated salespeople with a hunger to succeed.
The Package
- Base Salary: £40,000–£50,000
