We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business growth by building relationships with contractors and developers and helping them embrace digital transformation.

What you'll do
- Build and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Engage senior stakeholders across contractor and developer organisations
- Deliver compelling demonstrations and value-led presentations
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and close
- Prepare proposals, RFIs, and RFPs
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management in Salesforce
- Work closely with SDRs, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless customer journey
What you'll bring
- Proven success in Business Development or Enterprise Sales, ideally within Construction Technology or SaaS
- Experience managing complex sales cycles
- Strong commercial awareness and a track record of exceeding targets
- Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of the construction sector and its digital transformation journey
- A consultative approach with a passion for solving customer challenges
Your team
You'll report to the Director of Sales Operations and work closely with the Sales Director, Senior Business Development Manager, SDR, and wider Commercial team to deliver sustainable business growth.

Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by developing strategic relationships with contractors, developers, and other key organisations across the construction sector.
Working consultatively, you'll identify customer challenges and demonstrate how MSite's workforce management platform helps organisations improve safety, compliance, productivity, and operational performance through digital transformation.
You'll own the full enterprise sales cycle, collaborating with internal teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound activity, referrals, networking, and marketing-generated leads.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities.
- Identify, engage, and influence key stakeholders across target organisations.
Consultative Sales
- Understand customer challenges and business objectives.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and value-led presentations.
- Position MSite as a trusted workforce management partner rather than simply a software provider.
Sales Management
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from discovery through to contract signature.
- Prepare proposals, tender responses, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Lead commercial negotiations to successful conclusion.
Customer Relationships
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Develop long-term engagement within target accounts.
- Ensure a seamless transition to Customer Success and Account Management following implementation.
Pipeline & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate CRM records within Salesforce.
- Produce reliable pipeline forecasts and activity reporting.
- Manage opportunities in line with agreed sales processes.
Market Intelligence
- Maintain a strong understanding of construction market trends.
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging technologies.
- Share customer feedback and market insight with Product and Marketing teams.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Development, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams.
- Contribute to sales campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement across the commercial function.

Person Specification
Essential Experience
- Proven success in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, or SaaS sales.
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles.
- Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience presenting solutions to senior decision-makers.
- Experience preparing proposals, tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.
- CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.
Desirable Experience
- Construction technology experience.
- Workforce Management, HSEQ, HR Tech, or Compliance Software.
- Experience selling to Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
- Knowledge of digital transformation within construction.
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions.
Knowledge
