U Value Insulation is experiencing significant growth and is now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic sales team. You will be dealing directly with builders, contractors and end users to create your own customer base and help grow the company sales.

About The Role
- Selling: insulation: drylining and associated products to contractors operating in domestic and commercial construction projects and at all stages of the build cycle – ground works, floor, fabric, envelope, roofing, retrofit
- Maximising opportunities from an existing ledger alongside business creation with new customers to achieve monthly sales and margin targets
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and Internal Sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into orders
- Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice
Person Specification
- Previous experience working in the construction building distribution or related industry
- Hunger and determination to increase revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business
- Commercially astute with demonstrable record of managing margins
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following product sectors: insulation or drylining systems
- Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following contractor sectors: drylining, ground workers, roofing, cladding, main contractor
- Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £2m p.a
- Exemplary work ethic and team player
- Strive for excellence in all sales and customer related matters
- Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary management etc.
- Self-management to effectively operate in an external sales role, with diverse and widespread customers
