You will ideally be based around the Birmingham area. The role covers the middle of England including East Midlands, West Midlands, North Wales, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

Antech is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Business Development Manager / Regional Account Manager to join our UK Sales team. You will be responsible for selling the Antech product portfolio to veterinarians within your assigned territory.

You will primarily be responsible for creating new business opportunities by converting customers from their existing supplier to Antech. This is a key position within the business and has the opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct new business sales calls to convert accounts over to Antech point of care equipment and reference laboratories.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for the surgery in terms of enhanced workflow, increased diagnostic offering, reduced turn-around time, improved ROI, enhanced test portfolio.
  • Change management through a thorough onboarding process and partnering with the Antech internal account managers.
  • Provide an active target list which can be converted into pipeline.
  • Fiscally manage territory by controlling expenses, contract and new business activity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources to establish a solid base of new business opportunities.
  • Ability to research and use analytics to provide the optimal customer experience.
  • Coordinate daily support activities and customer activities at meetings as assigned.
  • Identify, target and acquire new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate and implement contractual relationships.

Work Experience

  • Previous experience selling capital equipment preferably in Animal Healthcare, Human Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Sales.
  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse experience within a Veterinary Practice or a Degree (Animal Health, Biological Sciences or Lab Sciences) prior to moving into a sales environment would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by leading performer with a track record of prospecting, pre-call planning and closing deals.
  • Ability to close new business within a short sales cycles.
  • Ability to execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills.
  • Team oriented with consultative sales skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
