About RS Education

RS Education is a UK-based student recruitment agency supporting local and international students with university admissions. Since 2020, we have helped students choose suitable courses, prepare strong applications, and successfully begin the next stage of their education.

We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the recruitment of UK-based students interested in studying at universities across the European Union.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new student enquiries, developing recruitment partnerships and converting prospective students into successful university applicants.

The successful candidate will understand student recruitment, business development and relationship management. They must be confident communicating with students, parents, education providers and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit UK-based students for universities across the EU
  • Identify and engage prospective students through outreach, events, partnerships and digital channels
  • Build relationships with schools, colleges, education consultants, community organisations and other referral partners
  • Provide prospective students with clear information about available universities, courses and application requirements
  • Manage student enquiries from initial contact through to application
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, conversions and recruitment activity
  • Meet agreed monthly and quarterly student recruitment targets
  • Monitor market trends and identify new recruitment opportunities
  • Represent RS Education at education fairs, open days, seminars and networking events
  • Work closely with admissions, marketing and compliance teams
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior management

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in business development, student recruitment, education consultancy, sales or a closely related field
  • Proven experience meeting recruitment, sales or business development targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working with students, parents and professional partners
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage enquiries and maintain accurate records
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
  • Good understanding of the UK student recruitment market

Experience recruiting students for European universities would be highly advantageous.

Probation and Training

The position includes a six-month probationary and structured training period. During this period, the successful candidate will receive training on RS Education’s services, partner institutions, recruitment processes and performance expectations.

Performance will be reviewed throughout the probationary period against agreed targets, including:

  • Student enquiries generated
  • Application conversions
  • Partnership development
  • Communication and follow-up standards
  • Accuracy of records and reporting
  • Overall contribution to the recruitment team

Successful completion of the probationary period will depend on satisfactory performance and achievement of the agreed objectives.
