Business Development Manager

Field Based - Midlands

phs Hygiene

Are you a driven new business hunter who thrives on winning large, complex deals? We’re looking for a highly experienced commercially focused Business Development Manager to join phs Hygiene and play a key role in driving growth across priority sectors. This is a field-based role focused on building pipeline, winning new logo business, and delivering high-value contracts.

The Role:

You’ll take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, identifying, engaging and converting large, multi-site opportunities through a consultative, insight-led approach. Working cross-functionally, you’ll deliver tailored, commercially sound solutions that meet customer and ESG objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and win high-value new business opportunities within target sectors
  • Build and manage a strong, qualified pipeline aligned to business priorities
  • Lead opportunities end-to-end, from discovery through to negotiation and close
  • Develop ROI-led proposals tailored to customer needs
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across customer organisations
  • Use CRM and data insight to manage pipeline, forecasting and performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Pricing, ESG, Tenders, Operations)
  • Support onboarding to ensure strong customer adoption and satisfaction

About You:

  • Proven new business “hunter” with success winning large, complex contracts
  • Experience in solution-based sales
  • Strong commercial awareness and deal structuring capability
  • Confident engaging at senior stakeholder level
  • Resilient, self-motivated and disciplined in pipeline management
  • Strong communication, negotiation and CRM skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
