Business Development Manager Construction & Industrial Energy Solutions UK Field Based £55,000 to £65,000 + 20% to 60% Bonus + Car + Strong Company Benefits
This is a field-based role with responsibility for developing new business across the construction and industrial sectors. The business supplies a range of battery energy storage (BESS) and solar-powered solutions into a market with huge growth potential, and they're looking for someone who enjoys getting out in front of customers and building opportunities.
This is a genuine business development position. Whilst you'll inherit a small number of existing relationships, the focus is firmly on winning new business, developing partnerships, and growing market share.
The role
- Develop new business opportunities across the UK construction and industrial sectors
- Build relationships with contractors, distributors, end users, and commercial partners
- Identify projects and opportunities to grow sales across the product portfolio
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through to commercial agreement
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Spend the majority of your time out meeting customers across the UK

The person
- Strong business development experience within the construction sector. Alternatively, a successful sales background within the contract hire industry
- Comfortable opening new doors and developing business from scratch
- Happy working in a field-based role with regular UK travel
- Commercially driven with strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Experience selling BESS, solar, renewable energy, or lighting solutions would be an advantage, but construction sector experience is the priority
