Business Development Manager – Legal Services

Field Based | Bristol | Competitive Salary + Bonus

Are you a commercially driven Business Development professional who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and creating new opportunities?

I'm partnering with a well-established, market-leading legal services business looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive growth across the legal sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the freedom to shape their own success, build long-term client relationships, and become a recognised presence within the legal community.

Working with law firms across the UK, you'll promote a highly regarded specialist service, developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

The Role

This is a varied, autonomous role where you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing new business opportunities with law firms through a combination of warm and cold outreach.
  • Identifying and engaging key decision-makers within Private Client and other legal teams.
  • Booking and delivering face-to-face presentations to showcase the company's specialist services.
  • Building long-term relationships with partners, solicitors, and legal professionals.
  • Managing your own sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion.
  • Attending networking events, conferences, and industry functions to raise brand awareness and generate new opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
