MacGregor Black are partnering with a global meat manufacturing business on the search for a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent opportunity, based in the United Kingdom, with remote working and regular travel across your customer territory.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will take ownership of developing new commercial opportunities whilst managing and growing existing accounts. You'll adopt a consultative sales approach, identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions that create long-term value for both the customer and the business.

This is an autonomous field-based role requiring a highly motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and identifying opportunities within a competitive marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable sales growth across your designated territory.
- Identify, secure, and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and deliver tailored commercial solutions.
- Monitor market activity, pricing trends, and competitor performance.
- Develop customer sales forecasts, account plans, and delivery schedules.
- Manage customer performance, including sales forecasting and receivables.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual sales planning.
- Support wider commercial initiatives aligned with business priorities.

What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of three years' field sales experience within Protein, Meat, Food Manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Demonstrable success in winning new business and developing key customer accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Experience managing customer forecasts and commercial plans.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong territory and time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of commodity markets would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Salary is £45-50k plus car allowance/company car and bonus.
