Description
LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, is passionate about helping local businesses grow through smart, data-driven digital marketing. As part of our digital sales team supporting the Warrington Guardian, you’ll be right at the heart of that mission, working closely with SMEs across the wider Cheshire region to strengthen their online presence and connect with the audiences that matter most.
This is a hybrid role, combining remote working with regular face-to-face client meetings across your territory. While you’ll spend a significant amount of time out meeting customers, you’ll also be expected to work from our Warrington office to review progress, collaborate with colleagues, and support your ongoing development, earning potential and career progression.
In this role, you’ll build trusted relationships with local businesses, uncover commercial challenges, and recommend tailored solutions from our portfolio of digital products, including paid social, digital display, video, and website solutions. If you thrive in a consultative, customer-focused sales environment and are passionate about delivering real impact for the local business community, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and supportive team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
