Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in your appointed vertical.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
  • Conduct research into target markets, understand clients' pain points and position our solutions accordingly.
  • Present and demo our SaaS platform and video onboarding services to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, onboarding) to tailor proposals and ensure strong client experience.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to help shape our product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
  • Maintain a CRM system, track activities, and report on pipeline, forecast and results.
  • As we are investing heavily in marketing, we expect the BDM to receive approximately 20–30% of their required leads from inbound marketing activity. However, the remaining 70–80% will need to be self-generated, so success in this role requires a proactive and consistent approach to outbound prospecting.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven record of new business sales
  • Preference for candidates with previous experience or knowledge of safety or high-risk environments, or those who have sold into these industries. Experience in SaaS / software would also be desirable.
  • Self-starter, resilient, able to work independently and manage your own creating and closing process.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – you can articulate value propositions to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to research, understand and articulate the challenges facing industries such as construction, energy, manufacturing, chemical, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to adapt to change.
  • Team-player with a positive mindset – you'll be working closely with other passionate colleagues.
  • Based in the UK with willingness to travel to clients as required.
