AVI-SPL Business Development Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving AVI-SPL's growth by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities. Focusing on new logo acquisition and strategic account development, you will build a strong pipeline, create lasting customer relationships and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Working with enterprise customers, you will take a consultative approach to uncover business challenges and position innovative audiovisual, collaboration and workplace technology solutions that transform the way organisations communicate and work. From prospecting and initial engagement through to solution development, negotiation and deal closure, you will own the full sales cycle while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, commercially focused sales professional to develop long-term client partnerships and make a significant contribution to AVI-SPL's continued success as a global leader in collaboration technology.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to generate new business opportunities.
  • Identify, prospect and engage new customers, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Identify, qualify and manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting through to close.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations and solution demonstrations to understand business needs and recommend the most suitable AV and collaboration technologies.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and bid responses that deliver value for customers and profitable outcomes for the business.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and internal teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from sale through to implementation.
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across AVI-SPL's full portfolio of solutions and managed services.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and customer activity records using internal systems and CRM tools.
  • Represent AVI-SPL at industry events, manufacturer briefings and networking opportunities to build market presence and generate new business opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales and gross profit targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience selling AV, Unified Communications, Video Conferencing or related technology solutions.
  • A strong track record of generating new business, winning new customers and developing long-term client relationships.
  • A consultative sales approach, with the ability to understand customer challenges and develop tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience producing proposals, quotations and contracts.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and consistently delivering against sales and revenue targets.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and effective pipeline management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 years+ experience within the AV, Unified Communications or Video Conferencing industry preferred
