Business Development Manager – Healthcare
North West / West Yorkshire | Travel Required (commutable to Rochdale HQ)
Role Summary
£45,000–£55,000 per annum, DOE + performance incentives | Full Time, Permanent

routes healthcare is looking for a Business Development Manager to expand the company’s referral pipeline across the North of England, transforming relationships into commissioned care packages. This is a field-based role covering the North West and West Yorkshire, with regular visits to the Rochdale HQ.

What You’ll Get

Key Responsibilities
- Map and analyse the referral landscape, including ICBs (Integrated Care Boards), Local Authorities, NHS discharge teams, case managers, solicitors, and insurers.
- Build and nurture relationships to position Routes as the trusted, go-to provider for commissioned care.
- Represent Routes at industry events, forums, and topology briefings.
- Support bidding efforts, framework applications, and commercial proposals.
- Maintain a live pipeline, track performance, and report on activity and conversion rates.

Requirements & Qualifications
This role is ideal for someone with experience in:

NHS and Local Authority commissioning:
- Business Development (BD), account management, or commissioning experience within the NHS, Local Authority, or social care.
- Working knowledge of ICBs, Section 75 agreements, or NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) frameworks.

Private Case Management:
- A track record of winning business from case managers, solicitors, or the medico-legal sector.
- An established network within the UK case management community.
Plus:
- A confident communicator with a proven ability to hit referral or revenue targets.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
