We’re looking for a passionate, people-focused Business Development Manager to join our award-winning team. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and driving growth, this could be your next big move. You’ll be the face of HSBC for a panel of mortgage intermediaries across Lancashire and the Fylde Coast. Your mission? To nurture and grow key partnerships, uncover new business opportunities, and help us deliver on our ambitious lending plans. You’ll be out and about meeting brokers, analysing data to spot trends, and working closely with colleagues to shape our proposition. In this role you’ll: Build genuine, lasting relationships with brokers and intermediary partners—face-to-face, over the phone, and online Use MI and data to identify growth opportunities and boost our market share Connect with everyone from admin teams to managing directors at intermediary firms Support our Corporate Account Team with campaigns and presentations at events Collaborate with internal teams to keep our proposition fresh and competitive Ensure every partner gets a first-class service, every time Manage risk and compliance with a keen eye for detail To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Recent experience as a Business Development Manager in the UK Intermediary Mortgage Market is essential A proven track record of finding and developing new business, influencing stakeholders, and negotiating with confidence Someone who lives in or near Lancashire/Fylde Coast and can travel daily to broker appointments (plus bi-monthly team meetings in Sheffield/Birmingham) A data-driven thinker who can turn insights into action A confident presenter, comfortable with groups big and small Excellent communicator, networker, and collaborator Solid understanding of financial services regulations and compliance A team player who’s just as happy working independently Opening up a world of opportunity.
